Gary and Ruth Luukkonen, who are they? A husband and wife who have devoted their lives to following Jesus Christ! Gary is an electrician and Ruth is a storyteller. Gary grew up in the snow country of Minnesota, Ruth in the tropical rainforests of West Africa. Ruth and Gary met each other in the “melting pot” of Arizona where God gave them three beautiful children: Timothy, Philip, and Elaine.Five wonderful years (1995-2000) the Luukkonen family spent time in the countries of Ivory Coast and Liberia, serving the people of West Africa. In return they gained many lasting friendships! Luukkonens served at the Christian Radio Station ELWA in Monrovia, Liberia; at the International Christian Academy in Bouake, Ivory Coast; and with Liberian refugees in Man, Cote d’Ivoire.

Ruth and Gary Luukkonen are now planning to return to West Africa to once again serve the great people of Liberia during their new era of democracy. But Gary and Ruth need your help!
