Bulgur Belly

Every one takes turns cooking in our Liberian family, especially when it comes to boiling bulgur wheat for breakfast. One of the boys joked that eating bulgur gave him a ‘bulgar belly’. (Just like the grain expanded after soaking in water, so his tummy expanded after eating bulgur.) This was our joke around the house almost every morning. Oh how I miss my Liberian family!
