A Light on the Horizon

Gary and I see the Light on the horizon of Liberia, a healing of God on that land. We see His Light in the lives of our old friends, in a prevailing spirit of kindness, and in a rainbow of progress over the nation.

We see that Light dancing in the eyes of our Liberian friends as we reunite with them. They share with us how they have continued to pray and believe God for our return until the day they set their eyes on us. Several of our friends invited us to their homes for a meal, sharing with us physical and spiritual food. Oh, what sweet fellowship we had together.

It has is good to see how God has been changing Liberia’s spirit of anger into a spirit of kindness. The other day as Gary and I were traveling in Monrovia, I noticed a motorcyclist stop to politely wave on a car in front of him. As the car passed by, its driver kindly called out to the motorcyclist, “Thank you, my man!” And everywhere Liberian families are building, investing in their own houses rather than wasting their meager income on rent. It is so exciting to see Liberia’s renewed spirit of enthusiasm!
