His grandfather was a Chief in upcountry Liberia, and Edwin his grandson was well respected in the village. But one day Edwin met Jesus the Son of God, and his entire life changed! His grandfather cast him out from home and village. Edwin’s journey following Jesus led him to Radio Station ELWA in Monrovia, Liberia. Here Edwin began preaching over the air waves about Jesus Christ, to his family and to his village. One day Edwin returned to visit his grandfather who was getting old in age. During the night a violent storm raged, sending a strong bolt of lightening to strike Edwin. The bolt flung Edwin off his sleeping mat, tossing him across the room! But Edwin did not die! The Grandfather was awestruck! This Jesus who protected his grandson must be the Son of God! With open arms the grandfather accepted Edwin back into his life. The chief and his village were changed forever.
